1. Getting help
Accounts, passwords and camera access are managed by your organization. Contact your VMS administrator first.
Problems with an app: e-mail info@chinguettilabs.com with the app name, its version (shown under Settings → About, or the app’s About window), your device and what happened. Please do not send passwords or camera footage.
2. Connecting to your VMS Server
- Enter the address your administrator gave you: on the same network, for example
http://192.168.1.20:8000; from anywhere, your server’s private HTTPS address, for examplehttps://name.tailnet.ts.net:10443. - Sign in with your VMS account. Apple TV displays use a viewer account; the administrator then sends views to the display from the console.
- No server yet? Use Explore with demo data (iPhone and iPad) or Try Demo (Apple TV and Mac) to see the apps with sample video.
3. Common questions
- Video buffers away from the site: choose SD in live view. It uses the camera’s lighter stream and works better over cellular or remote connections.
- “Can’t connect”: check the address and port, that the VMS Server is running, and that your device can reach it (same network, or the private remote-access network your organization uses).
- Where are my Mac snapshots and exports? Snapshots are in Pictures → VMS Snapshots and exports in Movies → VMS Exports.
- Apple TV settings while a wall is showing: press Menu on the remote once.
